GI Uniform Requirements

Material
– GIs must be tailored from cotton or cotton-like fabric only. The material should not be excessively thick or hard, ensuring that opponents can grip it easily.
– For all divisions, a woven fabric GI is mandatory.
– Kimonos with EVA or similar material inside the collar are allowed if they meet size and rigidity requirements.

Colors and Patches

– GIs must be clean, free of tears, and odorless.
– Patches must be sewn only in authorized areas and should not impede gripping.

Belt Requirements
– Belts must be 4-5 cm wide, in the athlete’s rank color, with a black tip (except for black belts, where the tip may be red or white).
– The belt must wrap around the waist twice, be tied with a double knot, and hang 20-30 cm.

GI Measurements
– Measurements will be checked to ensure compliance:
– Lapel thickness: **1.3 cm**
– Collar width: **5 cm**
